This session from our 2024 family and research conference provides an in-depth look at how rhizotomy surgery can significantly reduce spasticity, enhancing mobility and quality of life for patients with hemiparesis.

Dr. Weston Northam discusses the indications for rhizotomy, the surgical procedure itself, and the expected outcomes and benefits. Special emphasis will be placed on understanding spasticity in the context of post-hemispherectomy patients, highlighting case studies and patient experiences.
