
When my daughter, Kaitlyn, was diagnosed with Rasmussen’s encephalitis, we faced an unimaginable road ahead. She underwent two partial resections in 2014, followed by a hemispherectomy in 2015. It was a heart-wrenching and overwhelming decision, but looking back, it gave her the chance to thrive. Today, she’s a senior in college, proving that there is life—and success—after epilepsy surgery.
