Behavioral Health Wellness in Teens After Epilepsy Surgery
It can be difficult for both youth and their parents to navigate the teen years, which can be full of change, hormones, risk-taking behaviors, self-blame, greater peer influence, etc. In addition, there are often a lot of questions about your teen’s behavioral health after epilepsy surgery. What is behavioral health? What concerns should I be aware of? What if my child doesn’t have any concerns – is this normal? When should I take action versus taking a deep breath and moving on? How do I talk to my child about behavioral health concerns? How do I ask for behavioral health services? This session is about managing depression and anxiety in teens who have had epilepsy surgery. Dr. Wagner will help you understand behavioral health and how to notice and address related concerns in your child.
