My daughter Sophia suffered a stroke at 7 months old and later developed epilepsy. We tried different combinations of medication but nothing worked and it quickly become clear that we needed another option. In March of 2021, Sophia had a hemispherectomy and has been seizure-free ever since. She was 2 years old at the time of surgery. She is now four and thriving. She loves to dance, listen to music and play with her twin sister Bella.
